Their basic skills are more polished, the confidence on the ball more palpable, but most importantly, their enjoyment of football has gone on to another level.

For the 102 kids who are enrolled in the KidzWarriors' football programme, Sundays will never be the same again with the conclusion of the four-month long programme on 30 May (Sunday).

Mr Steven Loke, director of training and marketing of the programme sponsors SMC Pneumatics, was present to give away certificates of participation to the kids, age 7 to 11, and tokens of appreciation to parent volunteers who assist the coach every Sunday.

Thanks to SMC's kind sponsorship since 2005, kids from the community are able to enjoy top-level coaching at very affordable prices. This year, the four-month programme cost only $90.

Judging from the looks on their faces as they leave the Choa Chu Kang Stadium, these kids can't seem to wait for KidzWarriors 2011 to arrive!

KidzWarriors 2010 got off to a great start on 17 Jan as kids enjoyed a morning of football at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium under the watchful eyes of Warriors' youth coaches.

This year, the total intake is 93. They are divided into four different age groups to make sure that training can be more specific.

Thanks to the kind sponsorship of SMC Pneumatics, the kids are able to enjoy the four-month programme at a one time payment of only $90.

In spite of the searing heat, the kids ran non-stop like Energizer bunnies, and judging from the smiles and cheers, they certainly enjoyed their football.

The "Assembly": Kids gather with their kit, which includes a bag, a water bottle and a t-shirt to change into.

Coach Razif Onn (second from right) gives a quick briefing to the other coaches and volunteers.

While play is going on, Warriors' general manager Kok Wai Leong meets the kids' parents.
