Their basic skills are more polished, the confidence on the ball more palpable, but most importantly, their enjoyment of football has gone on to another level.
For the 102 kids who are enrolled in the KidzWarriors' football programme, Sundays will never be the same again with the conclusion of the four-month long programme on 30 May (Sunday). Mr Steven Loke, director of training and marketing of the programme sponsors SMC Pneumatics, was present to give away certificates of participation to the kids, age 7 to 11, and tokens of appreciation to parent volunteers who assist the coach every Sunday. Thanks to SMC's kind sponsorship since 2005, kids from the community are able to enjoy top-level coaching at very affordable prices. This year, the four-month programme cost only $90. Judging from the looks on their faces as they leave the Choa Chu Kang Stadium, these kids can't seem to wait for KidzWarriors 2011 to arrive! Young players daring to attempt difficult shots.
